A couple of weeks ago, I had the privilege of going to the Broad Museum. If you ever find yourself in LA, I recommend going to the museum for a quick visit.
The elegant girl I reference below.
I'm sure you have heard of the famous exhibit, which is a room filled with lights. If you are going to this exhibit, get reservations before you visit. If you don't have tickets to the museum, then you will have to wait in a line to get inside and then another line for this particular exhibit.
Once you make it to the front of the line be prepared because you will be in there for only 45 seconds (yes they time you). The room is much smaller then it looks which is the amazing part.
While you wait I recommend taking a look upstairs at the rest of the museum. There are only a few pieces that interested me but make sure to walk around to see which ones interest you. I liked the giant table/chairs, the giant dog, the America sign, the picture of the elegant girl (shown above), and the sketch that looks like a photograph.
The rest of the museum is made up of interesting pieces. There are some pieces in there that a child could draw because honestly, they look like someone scribbled on a piece of paper and got paid for it.
Also, don't go into the rounded room! The walls have art that is very inappropriate and scarring. I am being honest when I say I was shocked and grossed out.
But to sum it up, the museum is worth going to, especially since it's free. I just recommend making reservations.
